Terms of Service
These terms set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company (hereinafter “Company”) operating sheetmusic.kr (hereinafter “Service”) and Users regarding the use of the Service.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms aim to define the conditions of the service use contract, the standards for using digital content and additional features, and matters necessary for payment and dispute handling.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “User” means a member or non‑member who uses the Service in accordance with these terms.
- “Member” means a User who has completed registration and been assigned an account.
- “Digital Content” means scores (full scores), part scores, editable score files, audio files, previews, and other digital materials provided by the Service.
- “Credit” means a paid or free service credit that can be used only within the Service for purchasing products or membership fees, and is not legal tender, electronic money, deposit, or crypto asset.
- “Membership” means a service that provides tier‑based functions and benefits for a specified period.
- “AI Feature” means functions that utilize external or proprietary AI models, such as Music Assistant, Vision Search, and profile/poster/flyer generation.
- “Group” means a function that allows multiple members to jointly use purchased content or service rights within the scope defined by the Company.
Article 3 (Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms)
- These terms become effective when posted on the Service or notified to Members.
- The Company may amend the terms to the extent that it does not violate applicable laws. General amendments are applied 7 days after notice; material or disadvantageous amendments are applied 30 days after notice, with the effective date and reason disclosed.
- Amendments reflecting legal changes, correcting typographical errors, or expanding User rights may be applied immediately when necessary, with the reason indicated in the amendment history.
- If a Member does not agree to the amended terms, they may terminate the use contract. The Company does not consider continued use as consent for amendments that require separate legal consent.
Article 4 (Membership Registration and Account)
- Membership registration is completed when the User reviews the terms and privacy policy, agrees to the required items, and the Company accepts the application.
- The Service is intended for Users aged 14 and over. Users must verify that they meet the age requirement during registration.
- Applications using another person's information, providing false information, repeated abusive use, or applications that jeopardize service safety may be rejected or later restricted.
- Members must manage their account and authentication methods securely and must promptly notify the Company of any suspicious use.
- Upon withdrawal, access to the Service and active sessions are terminated. Processing of transaction, consent, and dispute records that must be retained by law follows the privacy policy.
Article 5 (Content and Provision of Service)
- The Company provides search, preview, purchase, viewing, download, audio playback, group/library, custom orders, and music tools for digital scores.
- Public audio previews for non‑members are generally limited to 30 seconds. Logged‑in Members may receive full‑length preview audio on product pages, but this does not constitute a purchase right for the score or editable file.
- The scope of purchase varies according to the combination of full scores, part scores, editable files, etc., as displayed on the product page and payment screen.
- The Company may temporarily suspend the Service due to maintenance, incidents, security response, or external service conditions, and will notify in advance when possible.
Article 6 (Payment, Credits, and Membership)
- Product price, currency, tax, and applicable benefits are based on the information displayed on the screen immediately before payment.
- Domestic payments are processed in KRW via Toss Payments; overseas payments, when supported, may be processed in foreign currency through Toss Payments‑linked PayPal or other methods.
- The order of use, expiration, and refund criteria for paid and free credits follow the refund/withdrawal regulations and the notices on the payment screen.
- Membership tier, usage period, deduction amount, and change/termination conditions follow the Membership screen and the refund/withdrawal regulations.
- If a payment error or duplicate payment is identified, the Company will cancel the original payment method or correct it by a method permitted under applicable law.
Article 7 (Digital Content and Withdrawal)
Digital Content may be provided immediately after payment. Withdrawal of content that has already been provided may be restricted in accordance with the requirements of the Electronic Commerce Act.
- The Company shall inform the User of any withdrawal restriction before payment and provide trial‑use means such as previews.
- For indivisible content, rights concerning portions not yet provided, or content delivered differently from the displayed advertisement or contract, are governed by applicable law.
- Specific application periods, methods, refund timing, and exceptions are detailed in the refund/withdrawal regulations.
Article 8 (Content License and Intellectual Property Rights)
- Copyright and other intellectual property rights of Service content belong to the Company or the legitimate right holder.
- Purchase grants a personal, non‑exclusive right to use the content within the scope displayed on the product page and does not transfer copyright.
- Users must not reproduce, distribute, share, resell, or circumvent technical protection measures beyond the permitted scope.
- Group rights may be used only by members and within the scope explicitly permitted by the Service.
Article 9 (AI Features)
- Using AI features may require separate consent for AI data processing.
- Users must not input sensitive information, uniquely identifying information, another person's private personal data, or copyrighted material without permission.
- Requests for illegal, harmful content, exploitation of minors, incitement of violence, self‑harm, terrorism, hate, defamation, or rights infringement are prohibited.
- AI results may be inaccurate or inappropriate; Users must review them before use and must not rely on them as a substitute for professional judgment.
- Processing, storage, external provision, and training use of AI inputs and outputs follow the privacy policy and feature‑specific notices.
Article 10 (Prohibited User Conduct and Service Restrictions)
- Users must not engage in acts that violate laws or third‑party rights, disrupt Service operation, conduct fraudulent payments/refunds, or use abnormal automated access.
- The Company may issue warnings, restrict functions, suspend content access, or terminate the use contract depending on the nature and urgency of the violation.
- Unless there is an urgent security or legal risk, the Company will inform the reason for restriction, the method for objection, and provide a reasonable opportunity to explain.
Article 11 (Company Liability)
- The Company provides the Service in accordance with applicable law and these terms and handles legitimate User complaints.
- The Company is not liable for damages caused by natural disasters, network failures, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control, provided there is no intent or negligence.
- Liability for intentional or gross negligence by the Company, as well as consumer rights and damages that cannot be excluded by law, are not limited by any exemption or limitation clause in these terms.
- The Company is not liable for damages arising from the User’s fault or breach of these terms, except where the Company shares fault, in which case liability follows applicable law.
Article 12 (Dispute Resolution and Governing Law)
- These terms and the use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- In case of a dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve it in good faith through consultation; Consumers may use the procedures of the Korea Consumer Agency or other relevant dispute mediation institutions.
- If litigation is required, it shall be filed with the court having jurisdiction as prescribed by the Civil Procedure Act and other relevant statutes.
